Aether Gazer unveils Chapter 16 of its main story accompanied by a powerful new hero
After a bit of maintenance, Aether Gazer has released Chapter 16 of its main storyline, titled Night Parade of the Beasts. This big update brings a new character, a special outfit, some special limited-time events, and, of course, an engaging story.
It was a night like any other when suddenly a rampaging pack of beasts decided to take a day trip to the lower capital district. Hearing all the commotion, the sleeping deities in the mountain forest awoke, but is this necessarily good? To stem the tide of these monsters, you might need some new help.
Our one and only new Modifier this time around is the S-Grade So-ei - Kuramitsuha, but if you like an ice team then she is looking pretty good. When hitting enemies with her third skill she reduces their ice resistance, and using her ultimate reduces incoming damage and enhances critical damage of the highest attack power ally among ice attribute Modifiers, setting up a decent burst window if done right.
Despite the fact that she clearly belongs to a strong ice team, her Ultimaye Skillchain is a Thunder-type Modifier. Luckily, though, it's with perhaps the strongest character in the game. Stick Kuramitsuha with Shinri - Tsukuyomi and you can knock out the rather lovely-sounding Frozen Thunder.
To complete this newcomers’ setup, make sure to pick up the new 5-star Functor Shikigami - Amanojyaku, the perfect partner for Kuramitsuha. The Story Ends Hero Sigils has also dropped, which lowers enemies' Ice RES when hit was an Ice attack, and causes Ice skills to increase the Crit Rate of all team members. In other words, pretty ideal.
Finally, if you recruit the ice queen and take a liking to her, the Rock Star outfit is available for her through the Store. You can also grab the new School Days furniture set and the exclusive Shogi Expert piece for Kuramitsuha.
