GamesCom has been and gone, complete with many big announcements, but a show I was personally looking forward to with the Tenno VIP event. Whilst we impatiently wait for Warframe: 1999 this Winter, we have found out more about the Fall update, including its name.

Priorly known only as Unannounced Fall Update at TennoCon, we now know it shall be called Koumei & The Five Fates. Following on from Jade Shadows and its focus on the Stalker, players will be able to pick up a new Nightwave Series of Drifter and Operator customisations based on the enigmatic character.

Thanks to this Eastern theme, Volt is getting itself a deluxe skin when the update kicks off. There are Thunder Gods in most cultures, but if you take a look at the concept art, you can most certainly see the Eastern influences. It looks superb, and with this and the Volt Protoframe coming up in 1999, you got yourself a nice Gemini Skin setup.

Those who have been watching the Warframe: 1999 reveals will remember Quincy, one of The Hex members. He sported the Cyte-09 Prototype, which was a novel way to introduce the concept of this new Warframe. Well, GamesCom gave us a look at the proper Cyte-09 frame, and it is certainly something.

If you have been thinking that your Warframes could use some more style and headwear, then Cyte-09 and their fancy beret is the one for you. We don’t know how they will really play, beyond considering that Qunicy is The Hexs’ crack shot, but we know they will look good doing it.

The final announcement came from THE LINE, the arthouse behind the upcoming Warframe: 1999 animation. It was a small teaser, showing some behind-the-scenes art of Lettie, the Trinity Protoframe. Just enough to keep everyone interested in the upcoming story.

Warframe is available to download from the App Store.
