Vampire Survivors celebrates BAFTA win with a massive free update

It's only been a few days since the BAFTAs, but Poncle is already hard at work with a huge free update for Vampire Survivors. Showcasing the drive that just won them Best Evolving Game, you can now enjoy an homage to a Square Enix classic franchise and a main game update.

Poncle is dicing with death just a little bit, inviting Square Enix to their mobile game, but hopefully, it will be worth it. Emerald Diorama is based on the SaGa franchise and brings 12 characters, 16 weapons, and 9 new tunes to bob along with as you slaughter millions.

You will be taking your skills to a new world-weaving stage, but you won’t be alone. In honour of almost all JRPG protagonists being backed up by a cast of chums, there will be character parties to help you tackle the nightmare. A pretty hefty update for nothing, and we are only halfway.

In a mode guaranteed to set all Zelda players shaking in their boots, we have also received a chicken-themed level called The Coop. It comes packing a new stage, character, weapons, and darkana. You can tear through enemy hoards with a massive chicken, what more do you want from a game? On top of this, there are also eight new achievements and a relic to help speed up the game.

Finally, you can enjoy two pretty beefy adventures, both with six chapters. The first of these self-contained narratives follows She-Moon Eeta, Morocco, Ramba, and more freezing their boots off in To End an Ice Age. No points for guessing the quest they are on there. The second adventure requires the Tides of Doscari DLC. It follows Luminaire as they attempt to seal the hoards of evil, with appearances from Keitha and Rottin’Ghoul.
