Monkey Sling is the kind of game that you play fairly obsessively at first, then entirely forget about. In many ways it’s reminiscent of what the App Store was full of a few years ago - twitch reaction games with little depth but plenty of that ‘just one more go’ factor.
You’re trying to dodge the mud that a monkey is flinging at you at regular moments. The only way you can do this is by dragging a finger to the left or right just in time. Each time you do this, you gain a point. You continue doing this until the end of time, or until the monkey gets you. Sometimes, the monkey turns his back on you but continues flinging, which makes things harder. Also, I have a bad feeling it’s not just mud he’s throwing at you. [Editor's Note: apparently it used to be 'something else,' which led to the game being rejected by Apple at first]
It’s sort of fun but super-simple. The kind of passing distraction that will entertain kids, but you’ll probably start to get a little bored after a while. It just doesn’t have much more going for it than what the initial few seconds demonstrate.
