TowerMadness was the first ever game that I played when I purchased my iPod Touch. Since then, I've found tower defense games that do some things better, some things different, but none have come close the combination of community support and diverse offerings that are provided by TowerMadness.

TowerMadness HD is a great port from the smaller iDevice platform. There are some changes from the original smaller version, however. There is a new Campaign system in place to provide a progression through the 27 different maps that come with the purchase of TowerMadness HD, eight of which are new with this version. Additionally, a two player mode has been introduced that provides a chance to compete against your friends.

The changes that have been added to the game don't add a plethora of features, and the graphics seem a little out of touch with the true capabilities of the HD format. The game play heavily makes up for any issues I might have with the game though, and it truly stands as one of the more advanced tower defense games on the platform.

If you enjoyed the original, or looking for a new tower defense game to try out, then TowerMadness HD is definitely a great title to try out. Check it out now for $7.99.

TowerMadness HD

TowerMadness HD provides more then just a simple port of a great tower defense game. New maps and updated progression makes this game a fresh upgrade from it's smaller counterpart.
