How to win battles in Total War Battles: KINGDOM


You've got the basics down in Total War Battles: Kingdoms, but now it's time to head out into the world and start a fight. Because that's what all good rulers do, yeah?
The battle system looks simple, but it's got a few quirks to learn if you want to murder everyone to the utmost of your abilities.
But don't fret, we've broken them down for you in this handy guide, so you can be sure that your swords, spears, and arrows are stabbing through as many people as possible. The charge
One of the first things you need to learn is how to time your charges. These appear as arrows under the feet of your units as they run towards your enemy. Get them right and you can devastate an opponent before they know what's happening.
Your best bet is to tap the arrow about half a second before it reaches the enemy. Practice your timing on easier battles to perfect it for the tougher ones.
Your ordersTo start off with you're not going to have many orders to choose from, but as you build more churches you'll get different ones.
Try and pick orders that are useful for the units you've got. They can turn the tide of a battle if you're smart. Remember that orders don't stack, and if you give a new order to a unit it'll supersede the old one.
Buying in some helpAt the start of every battle you've got the chance to buy in some extra help. When you're playing the easier missions you're not going to need this, but as the difficulty ramps up you're going to want to consider shelling out some of your gold to make sure you walk away victorious.
Keep them healedAfter a battle, it's a pretty good bet that some of your troops are going to be worse for wear. You should heal all of them straight away.
It costs a bit of gold, but you're better spending it here than on speeding things up in the world.
Recruit, recruit, recruitThere'll be times when you don't have enough money to heal all of your soldiers, and you'll need to let them recover. When you're doing this, you need to make sure you've got strong reserves.
Build barracks for the various units you can acquire, and make sure you've always got plenty of soldiers ready and waiting to jump into a fight if you need them to.
