We were at risk of turning into a Pokemon TCG Pocket website once again, although that will probably resume tomorrow as Shining Revelry releases. For today, however, let us cast our eye over to another series, as Netmarble has released the official teaser trailer for the upcoming open-world RPG, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin.

If you visit the website you might just notice, if you squint and concentrate, that there is pretty much nothing there. Just two characters, Tristin and Tioreh, looking at the city before it morphs into a corrupted state. To its credit, however, it does give us one vital piece of information; the main character dual-wields. So, let’s all pre-order now.

The title of this game is a little unusual, I feel. There will be an original multiverse storyline that follows Tristan, who is the son of Melidodas and Elizabeth. Two of the main characters from the original Seven Deadly Sins. Does Netmarble not know what the word Origin means? Surely “Tristans’ Origin” would be more accurate.

Pedantry aside, Origin will see you traipsing across the open world of Britania, recruiting heroes from The Seven Deadly Sins and Four Knights of the Apocalypse. You will lead your merry band on a quest to find out what is warping reality and shunting you across the multiverse.

As any who has glanced at a mobile storefront will know, this is not the first time the esteemed anime has had a game based on it. In fact, Origin is following The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, an RPG that racked up 70 million downloads around the world. It also shows no signs of slowing down, so Origins will need to come out the gate swinging in order to keep up the legacy.

You can head over to YouTube to check out Seven Deadly Sins: Origins first two trailers, as well as the original concept video. There is also the TwiX page where, no doubt, the developers will release more info. Also, keep an eye out here, and we will strive to keep you updated.
