Stack guide - How to build the highest tower

Stack is a simple but fun game from Ketchapp, the makers of hits such as 2048.
It’ll take you seconds to learn, but a while to get those high scores. 148Apps is here to give you some tips and tricks on how to succeed. Learning the ropes
All you have to do in Stack is tap on the screen just as a block slides across the stationary block underneath it. Each time you do this, the tower rises one block higher.
However, if you don’t quite line things up just right, you lose a small portion of the block. This is a bad thing as the tower gets smaller. If you place a block on an empty gap on the screen, it’s game over - so be careful!
That means that timing is everything. In a way, Stack is a kind of rhythm game. You soon get into a pattern of knowing exactly when the block runs across the existing one, meaning you can almost do it instinctively rather than watching carefully. Get into the rhythm as soon as possible.
Listen out for cuesWhen you position a block perfectly, a white outline briefly emerges, and the music changes to highlight that you did well. These cues help you maintain the right momentum.
FocusIf you line things up just right, you’re going to feel pretty satisfie but tt gets better. If you do it enough times, the blocks start growing in size again, meaning you can make up for any earlier mistakes.
This is the key to racking up the high scores.
Each session of Stack offers a different colored background. Sometimes, it’s harder to see than other times. It depends on how you see colors, but it’s surprising how much simpler it is to get things just right when dealing with lighter colors.
Be prepared to restart early on, to get things just right for you.
Messed up your rhythm really early on? Cut your losses and quit while you’re, well, not ahead, but you need a solid foundation to really succeed.
