Solo Leveling: Arise launches pre-registration for its 1st anniversary event

Try as I might, I don’t understand what pre-registering for an in-game event will get developers. Surely the people who sign up will already be playing, so it can’t be much in terms of engagement? As I ponder this, Solo Leveling: Arise is hosting a 1-year anniversary early next month and has opened up pre-registrations.
Solo Leveling has done a lot in its first year, and it certainly kept my interest piqued, particularly with its offline speed-run tournament, the SLC 2025. So, it stands to reason that developers Netmarble will be hitting this milestone equally as hard. And looking at what's ahead, they are certainly doing this.
When the update launches, it will bring new stories along for the ride. There will be a tale of a Knights Guild raid in Busan, offset by a horror-filled romp as Sung Jinah’s school finds itself in the midst of a dungeon break. Add to this a debut hunter type and raid content, and the second year will start well.
Now for the important part: goodies. There will be the obligatory check-in event stuffed full of valuable gear. These include a Transcendent Blessing Stone [Select], 1-Year Anniversary SSR Hunter Selection Ticket, 1-Year Anniversary SSR Hunter Exclusive Weapon Selection Ticket, and more. That SSR Hunter duo in particular sounds incredibly good.

Completing a few daily missions will net you the Pixiv Competition-winning Sung Jinwoo Costume as its last reward. Tackle some as yet unknown events, and you will walk away with an SSR Jinwoo Weapon Selection Ticket, Special Player Weapon Design, and even 100 Custom Draw Tickets.
Finally, that pre-registration. Stick your name down, and you will guarantee yourself 10 Custom Draw Tickets. It is a good start, and frankly, any reward is worth it for this little work, but Netmarble is promising a super-special gift if more than 500,000 people sign up. It is a cheap tactic, and it is super effective because I am very curious to find out what it is.
Solo Levelling: Arise is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
