It's pretty much a universally agreed-upon notion that if there is one thing humans wish they could do, it would be to fly. To soar through the skies, free falling at will, only to swoop up at the last second and dump any 'unwanted cargo' on an unsuspecting victim. Don't pretend it's not true. Not only do birds get to navigate the skies, but they get to have a laugh each and every time they need use the toilet. My friend once got hit right on his Versace jacket by some bird mess, and it was glorious.
Turd Birds is all about watching people run and consequently curse at the sky as a sweet little bluebird unleashes a rain of bird turd on top of them. The act itself brings great satisfaction and genuine feelings of anticipation. The novelty of pooping on pedestrians will undoubtedly wear off, but there is still a solid endless runner behind it all. The environments are varied and colorful, there are multiple humorous challenges, six birds to unlock, and various power-ups to make use of, all of which contribute towards a light-hearted and enjoyable endless runner experience. Players can even connect to Facebook and poop on their friends' faces. Ahem.
The gameplay is slightly on the slow side though, and the controls can be a little unresponsive in places. Movement in particular can feel staggered at times, especially after dropping a deuce. It's a minor complaint, but one that can lead to unnecessary frustration whilst playing.
Nevertheless, Turd Birds is a worthy addition to a popular genre that is guaranteed to keep players smiling as they come back for more fiendish poopery. At the very minimum it reminds us of how great of a word 'turd' is anyway, so that's something.
