Speedy Ninja Review

Speedy Ninja™

Starting out, Speedy Ninja seems a little rough. Its menus are a bit ugly and confusing, throwing too much information at you at once. It hides just how simple yet enjoyable Speedy Ninja actually is to play.

Delve into the game properly and you’ll realise that Speedy Ninja has a great sense of speed to it. You’re a Ninja leaping around the screen with an aim to take out monsters and pick up various collectibles along the way. Controls involve you tapping to jump or duck under a platform with each having a pivotal role to play when you’re trying to avoid obstacles.

It’s fast-paced action and pretty fun for it. There’s typically a flurry of collectibles as well as spikes to duck under or leap over. Every once in a while, you can ride a dragon too, taking you into the skies and having you pick up other kinds of collectibles. It’s all very simple but quite beguiling for a time.

That’s enhanced by a detailed upgrade system which, while a little muddled at first, soon proves to be satisfying to work towards.

Speedy Ninja keeps it consistently simple to play, but it’s a fun kind of simple, sure to get under your skin for a little while.
