It’s become something of a tradition to include yetis in downhill skiing games these days. Not a tradition I mind of course, but it’s rather common. And so it is with Skiing Yeti Mountain. To a point, anyway.
Your nameless skier is searching for the elusive creature by hitting the slopes - and following the trails of blood. What really sets this apart from other skiing games is that it isn’t actually endless or procedurally generated. Instead it’s broken up into quite a few levels that you can replay whenever you want. There are also a bunch of challenge levels you’ll unlock after a point, and they definitely deserve the name.
On the surface all you really have to do is drag a thumb to the left or right to guide your skier around the slalom flags (while not missing any of them, or else you’ll have to start over). Of course such a simple task gets a whole lout tougher once you have to account for icy patches, trees, jumps, and so on.
Failure is always an option, and sometimes an inevitability. Fortunately restarting only takes a second. It can still get a little frustrating when you keep missing flags or face-planting into trees (especially during those challenge levels), but not having to wait between runs lessens the sting a bit.
It’s easy to have fun with Skiing Yeti Mountain, even when it’s kicking your butt all over the place.
