Productivity

Simultaneously basic yet offering a focused toolset, Cueframe is a handy app for those who just want to quickly write down a few reminders for later reference. It's quite colorful, too.

Fast loading, the app introduces things with a tutorial. I didn't find it to be the clearest of tutorials, with the actual controls proving simpler than the suggestion, but it tries. Users simply double-tap on the screen to add a note, pinch to resize them, or remove one with a swipe. Editing is a matter of holding a finger to the individual note. It's all quite straightforward despite what the tutorial might have one think.

Once a note has been created its color can be changed, plus it can be moved anywhere on screen. Such flexibility is handy, meaning the to-do list can be as muddled as one wants or as organized as they feel like. For the hyperactive mind, everything can be placed in a pile of mixed up colors or they can be organized neatly into categories of the user's choosing. Each note moves ever so slightly on screen too, giving a certain vibrancy to the effect. Calendar events can be imported too, via a hidden away Settings menu, thereby providing some structure while planning things. It looks a lot like a series of sticky notes and it works well. So often in life there are brief things that need remembering, and Cueframe tackles such subjects appropriately so.

Adding to the functionality, Cueframe allows for the use of links, email address, and telephone numbers, all leading to a relevant app. That's about it on the features front though, with Cueframe proving simple but not basic. For those who just want a simple way of keeping track of many things, this app does the job reasonably well. Its speed being its greatest boon.
