Another grocery list app? Yes, there are plenty already out there on the App Store. However, don't stop reading just yet as AnyList Grocery List does something a little different from the rest. It provides a remarkably easy way of sharing grocery shopping lists amongst others in the household.
Currently free to download, it's very quick and simple to get to grips with AnyList Grocery List. Users are offered plenty of ways to search for items. They can either search for specifics, such as a particular type of pasta, or they can search for more vague descriptions such as simply 'pasta' then add notes to explain what's required. The latter is particularly handy when sharing a list with others as it ensures they know exactly what to look for. Want to make sure your roommate or spouse gets meat with a long sell by date on it or pick up a particularly ripe bunch of bananas? Add it to the notes and they'll know.
Adding to the relatively simple idea, AnyList Grocery List comes with a recipe section for extra variety. Including recipes from many great sources such as StumbleUpon and Simply Recipes means there is plenty of variety and choice. It's then just a matter of tapping 'add all ingredients' to add them to the grocery list.
Sharing the list is a similarly easy process with an email to them ensuring that they know to set up the app. It's all very smooth and fast to organize with it taking seconds to set up a basic account. Controls are just as quick to get to grips with as swiping works for mostly everything here.
It's tough to find a problem with AnyList Grocery List. It's just saved regular shoppers from having to co-ordinate their efforts with others, making it one of the rare list apps I plan on keeping on my iPhone for a long time to come. The ability to add multiple lists makes it all the more convenient with the likes of Christmas looming ahead and different shopping required.
