Hay fever sufferers should flee as Pokemon TCG Pocket is hosting the Grass-type Mass Outbreak event

One of my favourite decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket is a Grass-Type one. I love the pairing of Serperior buffing Celebi to high hell, and then coin-flipping opponents to oblivion. Because of this, I am quite pleased that the Grass-type Mass Outbreak event is underway, allowing us all to be buried under that green goodness.
This will last until March 30th, so you will need to be quick. A quick recap on how these work; navigate to the Wonder Pick page, and you will occasionally see a “Bonus Pick” for you to grab a nice card from. Simple as that. For this event, the star of the show that Pocket is pushing is Leafeon ex.
I love the Eevee family so this works out well, even if Leafeon is at the bottom of the pile. It does come with a very helpful Ability that lets you grab another Grass energy from your pool and stick it on a Grass Pokemon. The only Caveat is that Lefeaon ex needs to be the active Pokemon, and with its lacklustre attack and HP I am not sure the Ability is worth the trade-off.

Another spotlighted card is Carnivine, one of those new types that synergise with Arceus. It has a one-cost attack that deals 20, plus another 30 when Arceus ex is in play. It is a nice boost, but all of these Power Link abilities are pretty underwhelming, to be honest.
Both of these are available in the rare pick pool which, if you are lucky enough to see, also includes Serperior, Harcross, Servine, and Vespiquen. Otherwise, you will get to pick from a common grabbag made up of the likes of Eevee, Snivy, Cherubi, and other such Pokemon. You can also glam your Lefeon ex up with the newly added Petals Flair: White (Battle), if you are feeling fancy.
Pokemon TCG Pocket is available to download from the App Store and Google Play. For more grass utility, Shining Revelry is set to release Sprigatito when it arrives this week, which sports a handy ability to find Grass-type Pokemon.
