Become the ultimate Charizard fan with the new Premium Pass in Pokemon TCG Pocket

Unfortunately, it appears that the whole saga with Pokemon TCG Pocket's dismal trading system wasn’t one long April Fool's joke because it is still here. Happily, though, we do have some consolation in the form of a brand new premium pass to engage in with a host of shiny prizes to earn.

To prove that this nightmare is here to stay, at least until it is finally scrapped in autumn, every player will find 1,000 Trade Tokens in the mail as a gift from the developers. This will allow you to trade two and a half one-star cards or two ex Pokemon. And in keeping with the promise to include tokens as mission rewards, you can currently get exactly zero Tokens from finishing quests, so that’s gone well.

Onto the better news: we have a fresh suite of Premium missions and rewards to undertake. Sadly they have chosen the wrong ex from Shining Revelry, centring the set on the black-coloured shiny Charizard. You can pick up a coin, playmat, card sleeves, backdrop and cover. To give it its due, they do look pretty cool.

To buy these, you need to complete tasks such as opening packs, doing Wonder Picks, and collecting 11 of each card type to collect vouchers to trade. Pretty easy stuff that will also net you Hourglasses as well. 

You will also get a special Sprigatito card from the Premium quests just for logging in once. It shows the adorable kitty on top of a roof, clearly referencing the special art Meowscarada, staring out across a town atop a spire. There are only two issues with this. First, there is no special roof Floragato, so the theme is broken. Second, you can only get one of these rooftop Sprigatito, and not having a playset of it would really annoy me, personally.
