Niantic shares more details on Pokémon GO worldwide events

Niantic has some pretty big plans for Pokémon GO fans this year, kicking off with Pokémon GO Fest Chicago next week. Today the company revealed more details on the upcoming events taking place this year both within the U.S. and the world at large. As you may have heard, Pokémon GO Fest Chicago starts on July 21 in Grant Park. The day's first challenge sees players working together to catch as many Pokémon as they possibly can to activate the second mystery challenge. Achieving that, they unlock a global reward. Niantic breaks it all down in this helpful infographic.
Players unable to attend, no matter their location, can chip in to help unlock these challenges for the folks in Grant Park, and they'll get a piece of the Global Reward, too, so there's something for everyone.
Further afield, Niantic will be hosting Safari Zones across Europe later this summer at Unibail-Radamco stores. Safari Zones will be cropping up in the following cities:
August 5, 2017- Fisketorvet—Copenhagen, Denmark
- Centrum Cerny Most—Prague, Czech Republic
- Mall of Scandinavia—Stockholm, Sweden
- Stadshart Amstelveen—Amstelveen, The Netherlands
- CentrO—Oberhausen, Germany
- Les Quatre Temps—Paris, France
- La Maquinista—Barcelona, Spain
These Safari Zones will give players a special opportunity to catch a variety of Pokémon.
