Harness the innate glorious power of a great big hammer as the Tinkatink family comes to Pokemon Go

If you have read any of my Pokemon coverage lately, you will know my favourite Pokemon is Lucario since I shoehorn a mention of him anywhere I can. Well, Pokemon Go is introducing another one I am a big fan of, so please help to welcome the Tinkatink evolution line.

The reason I love them so much, especially Tinkaton, is that in a world full of mystical beasts and terrifying beings, this tiny being found the biggest hammer it could and said, “That will do, let’s go”. This fantastic line is coming as part of the return of the Pokemon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event.

Along with the Tinka line comes a special Floragato, sporting a fetching hat and Liko’s pin with Liko being one of Ash’s inferior replacements in the show, if you're unfamiliar. You can pair this be-hat-ed cat with a Pikachu wearing Cap’s Hat by completing some Event-Field Research. The pair will also appear in Raids. It is also worth noting that Cap Pikachu has the Charged Attack Volt Tackle because in any event, Pikachu needs to be special.

During this event, there will be an increased chance to encounter the Shiny versions of Cap Pikachu and Liko Floragato. You're also more likely to come across Team Go Rocket balloons, no doubt chasing that Pikachu again, and half Egg Hatch Distance for those placed into Incubators during the event. So, make sure you get out this week and empty those Incubators.

Speaking of eggs, here are the options for a 7km Egg. You can hatch Hatenna and Tinkatink, along with Elekid and Charcadet. The last two have a chance to be Shiny. Also, after this event you can find Tinkatink in 10km Eggs. Finally, one for the shutterbugs. You might have surprise encounters with Pokemon Horizon characters and Pokemon when you take photos, so start snapping.

Pokemon Go is available to download from the App Store and Google Play, with the Pokemon Horizon event happening between April 16th and April 22nd.
