Play Together releases some sweet Valentine's Day content along with system improvements

It's the month of love and romance, so of course game companies everywhere are clamouring to pump out some Valentine-themed fun, with Play Together being no different. There are new events to take part in, gifts to be had, and a pretty extensive overhaul to an existing system to give players some delightful quality-of-life improvements.

The arrival of Valentine's Day brings with it three new NPCs; Chocolat, Vanilla and Caramel, so you just know this event will be sickeningly sweet. Talking to these NPcs, or hitting the Event button, will enter you into the Hearts Aflutter Chocolate Box event. Completing these missions will give you Choco Coins used to fill up an empty chocolate box, and filling one gets you some nice themed costume pieces, and you can even spend the coins for some Chocolate Kitchen Furniture pieces to deck out your home. If chocolate won’t fill that hole in your heart, then get involved with the Gigantic Downtown Gift Calendar. You can claim a total of 23 gifts by visiting and opening the boxes once a day, with one of the prizes being the themed pet, Valentine Egg, to bond with and share adventures. Don’t forget to also collect the log-in events, such as the Theme Draw Ticket and the BE MINE Heart Headwear.

It isn’t just Valentines that’s getting the love this month, with the minigame system getting a few quality-of-life overhauls to it. To start with, this is a newly-added game selection menu to make accessing your wanted game easier, found in the Phone, Play Game menu. With this comes an eagerly anticipated feature, the ability to launch minigames for all the friends visiting your house at the time, so enjoy being suddenly kidnapped to play some games. You’ll even have the choice to now spectate any games you are eliminated from, to spitefully view your friends rise to glory as you sit on the bench.
