Panoramatic 360

Panoramatic 360 is a relatively easy to use panoramic picture app that stitches together pictures to create a seamless panoramic or 360 degree panoramic picture.

Using the app is a breeze. Just take a picture to start your panorama, then move your camera to right to continue the image. As a guide, the app gives you a shadow image on the left side of the screen for you to match your image to, something that saves people like me from over-shooting my target. There is also an on-screen level so you don't go totally bonkers trying to keep your hand still. Once you are done, you are given a few options to change the output quality and the rendering accuracy, as well as basic things like sliders for contrast and brightness.

The final image comes out quite clean, not showing any sort of image steadying errors that may have occurred due to shaky hands. Admittedly, my panoramic picture came out a bit better than my 360 picture, but I attribute the issues to trying too hard to match edges together. Instead of a smooth 360 image, I got a slightly disorienting picture that belonged in a Tim Burton film.

The only issue I had, and this is probably more of an iPhone camera flaw than anything, was with the lighting. In an outdoor picture, Panoramatic works perfectly, but in an indoor setting, the iPhone camera kept auto-adjusting the light balance, making the picture sections by windows abnormally dark.

All in all, Panoramatic is an excellent app for making panoramic pictures. It's easy to use and the pictures come out looking very nice.

Taking regular pictures is hard enough, so panoramic shooting had better be pretty much automatic. Thankfully, Panoramatic is easy to use and makes your panoramic shots look almost professionally done.
