Tap4Fun have announced a series of in-game events throughout February to celebrate King’s Empire’s third anniversary since launching in the App Store and Google Play in 2012.

The events have already started, with a heroes show-off kicking things off at the beginning of February.

A ‘Big Boss Battle’ event began on the 11th and is set to end on Friday the 13th. In this exciting event a player is turned into an enormous boss and it’s up to other players from all servers to team up and take the boss down.

The full festivities start on the 12th but Tap4Fun are keeping quiet about exactly what’s to come. It’s safe to say that if you’re a fan of King’s Empire you’ll definitely want to see what all of the fuss is about.

Also starting on the 12th is a Valentine’s Day event so if your other half hasn’t started playing, now is the best time to get them to start.

King’s Empire is an online free to play strategy game on iOS and Android.

The objective is to take control of as many city states and villages as possible, in order to build an empire big enough to take on your opposing players.

Units can be fully customised to suit any playstyle and you can strengthen them further with the use of dark magic.

Now is the best time to get started with King’s Empire if you haven’t played it before. There’s plenty to get involved in for old hands and newcomers alike throughout February so head on over to the App Store [download] and Google Play [download] to check it out.

Contradiction - Tips, Tricks, and Strategies for the Budding Detective

Posted by Tre Lawrence on February 12th, 2015

Hello to y'all amateur sleuths out there.
We had a heck of a time checking Contradiction out. How much? Check out our review

Contradiction is fun mystery thriller with Kickstarter roots that merges live acting with mobile gaming. The idea is to solve a mystery by catching suspects in a lie.

Here's how to spot the contradictions and get to the bottom of Kate's death.

Gathering Information

  • Magnifying glasses are golden - As you roam around different environments, be on the lookout for the white magnifying glass that might appear at the bottom right; its presence means there's something crucial in that area to check out and/or collect. Not collecting/researching an area when the magnifying glass appears can hold up progress down the line.

  • Ask every possible question - The general premise is to catch suspects lying based on the answers they give during questioning. So ask away! As the game progresses and more data is used to generate even more questions per character, the list gets pretty long. Make sure no question gets skipped over.

  • Roam, then roam some more. And even more - There are many places to visit, and you should get Jenks to revisit places often. New places open up, the environment changes, and new characters make an appearance in areas as he game goes on. Use found items when necessary, and act upon new information. Patience is the name of the game. Use the navigation map to keep track of places that need to be visited again (blue pins versus green).

Crush the AI in Stratego's New Single Player Update

Posted by Jessica Fisher on February 12th, 2015
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Youda Games' Stratego is based off the classic board game of strategy and bluffing. Recently, Youda has added an AI engine that offers a single player mode. The new AI can be set to easy, normal, and hard depending on your level of skill, and you can play against it in the campaign, classic 40 v/s 40 battle, or a quick 16 v/s 16. The update also makes the game universal, revamps the campaign, and tweaks the overall style.

“This version of Stratego is tailored to the way mobile players are used to playing on their devices. Short sessions and the possibility to play whenever you want are important to players. With this in mind we have made a great game that appeals to young and old alike. Just like the physical board game does,” says Jur van Teunenbroek, producer of Stratego.

You can download the updated Stratego for $1.99 right now.

Top Eleven 2015 - Tips, Tricks, and Strategies for New Managers

Posted by Jennifer Allen on February 11th, 2015

Heads-up, coach:
Still on the fence about downloading this particular soccer/football manager? Check out our Top Eleven 2015 review!

Have you just downloaded Top Eleven 2015 - Be a Soccer Manager and you're not quite sure where to begin? Don’t worry, we’ll guide you through the basics so that you’ve got some idea when it comes to what to do next.

The Basics

  • It should be obvious, but sign in via Facebook. Besides being able to play alongside friends, you’re also safe in the knowledge that none of your progress is going to be lost. And Top Eleven 2015 is a lot more fun when competing with friends.

  • Learn what everything in the menu does. Top Eleven 2015 doesn’t have the easiest of tutorials to follow.

  • Squad is there for setting up formations and tactics, as well as moving players around. Examine each player’s abilities as it highlights where they’re strongest and weakest. Contemplate whether you want to be a more defensive or offensive team, and plan accordingly.

  • Training is where you’ll spend a lot of time. You can pick different training regimes for each of your players and even focus on one in particular (for a price). There’s a choice of three different training methods: match practice is best for honing tactics and boosting team play, cardio is great for general fitness boosts, and stretching reduces the chance of your players picking up injuries.

  • The game’s pretty dependent on time, with Fixtures telling you when your next match is. You get bonuses for being around to watch a match so try to do that whenever possible.

  • Transfers can be reliant on time too, with live auctions running out all the time. This is more something to focus on when you’ve got money spare, though. Early on, just focus on the players you have.

  • You can upgrade your Stadium through the option of the same name. That can lead to more fans, which also means more money. Plus you can upgrade the pitch to reduce the chance of injuries, as well as boost team morale.
