Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel celebrates its first birthday with new art card for iconic monster

Despite being around for over 25 years, Yu-Gi-Oh is still managing to keep several video games chugging along very successfully, with Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel commemorates its first birthday. To celebrate, Duelists will be able to mark the occasion with a truckload of free gear.

To begin with, upon logging in all players will be met with up to three UR tickets, each that can be exchanged to open up a 1st Anniversary Pack. In addition to the chance of pulling some rare monsters, each pack comes with a guaranteed Royal Finish UR card so you can happily duel away and blind people with your shiny cards. You’ll also be able to find these in the New Step for Duelists Selection Pack. Any fan of the original anime will know that one of Yugi’s most dependable monsters was the Dark Magician, and you will be able to snag an alternate art of this card for the first time in the 1st Anniversary Bundle, along this a brand new Summoning scene for added flair. The bundle also includes 30 Master Packs, an Icon Frame, Duel Field, and more.

If the Dark Magician isn’t your style, you should take a look at the 1st Anniversary Secret Packs, which are kicking around for a limited time. These packs will give you the chance to grab other alternate art cards, with the likes of Eldlich the Golden Lord and Knightmare Unicorn being up for grabs.

For those that need a bit of help starting their decks or just want a pre-made home for their shiny new Dark Magician, the Vortex of Magic Structure deck is available to buy, including some powerful Dark Magic cards such as Master of Chaos and Illusion of Chaos.
