Outerdawn's turn-based RPG Grimguard Tactics releases after months of build-up

It has been quite the build-up, with pre-order targets smashed and many beautifully animated trailers released, but finally, Outerdawn’s Grimguard Tactics is out on mobile. Venture into a destroyed world with this turn-based RPG, and see if you have the makings of a saviour.

Terenos was once a land that basked in the glory of the divine until the fall of the gods shattered this paradise. The Primorva, an evil force that spreads corruption, blanketed the world until a brave alliance stood against the tide. Unfortunately, they were betrayed, and the darkness triumphed. Here is where you step in, the last hope for Terenos. You will need to recruit an army from a wide range of factions, each sporting its own special abilities, perks, and sub-classes. Craft a carefully honed team to pull off precision strategies, or fill it with tough-nuts who will steamroll everything in their path. Crude but effective.

Take your team into epic boss confrontations across the main story, or hunt a different quarry in the PvP Arena. Here you can face off against other players across the world and clamber to the top of the pile, advancing through the ranks and claiming valuable rewards. The world may be falling apart, but there's always time for a good scrap.

Should you grow weary from constantly battling, you can turn your hand to being a landlord. Terenos is in ruins, and Holdfast is the last bastion of humanity. Strike out into the land and scavenge the resources you need to strengthen the town to stand against the Primorvan army.

Thanks to players reaching the original pre-order goal of 600,000, the Legendary Dawnseeker Arbiter Hero will be helping everyone speed through the early game. The success of this campaign even prompted the developers to add further milestones, resulting in further starter goodies. Unfortunately, the numbers fell short of the final 1.2 million target, so the Mausoleum of Dawn Dungeon wasn’t reached. Here's hoping it shows up anyway.
