Nominations have opened for the 2024 Pocket Gamer Awards

Video gaming is an incredibly subjective topic. Everyone has their favourites, a character they love, a mechanic they despise. It is a deeply personal choice, and there is no right answer. Or, there wouldn’t be if Pocket Gamer wasn’t around with their 2024 Awards to settle the debate for us.
What’s even better is the control is squarely in the hands of you; the video game-playing public. We are in the nomination stage right now, where you have the most power. That is because there are 20 categories, and you can suggest any game you want. Provided it is available on mobile and was released between October 1st 2023 and September 30th 2024. So, most of the control is with you. Did you find a Roblox level you really liked? Nominate it for Best Roblox Game. Have you also been loving having Warframe on the go? Pop that on Best Mobile Port of the Year. Would you like to nominate Sword of Convallaria as Best Mobile RPG of the Year? If the answer is no, stay away from that category, I'm fixing that result (Editor's note: He's not doing that).
You have until October 31st to get your votes in and don’t worry, you can have multiple entries if you want to enter in each category. Democracy is alive and well at Steel Media. Don’t miss the opportunity to have your voice heard.
After nominations have closed and the Pocket Goblins have made all that boring addition to totaling up the contestants in each category, the shortlist will be released. Then it is onto Step 2; voting. This will last throughout all of November, so you have plenty of time to go play every single game on every list. You must be well informed.
Finally, there will be a live event on December 6th, where the winners will be revealed and everyone will get to riot when Sword of Convallaria doesn’t sweep every category. Or maybe that’ll just be me.
