Pack your bags as we are all going on a summer holiday in Call of Duty Mobile, although it may not be as relaxing as you would like. Starting August 2nd at 17:00 PT, Season 7 will launch, dubbed Heat Wave, and bring with it a new map, mode, gun, and more.

If you played Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, then you may recognise this new map, faithfully downsized for mobile fun. The Seaside is the new multiplayer location, very fitting for a bit of fun in the sun. You will battle along the classic three-lane design, meeting your foes in bustling markets, or down in the wine cellars of an idyllic Spanish town. We all know escort missions are the worst thing in shooters, but that’s because nobody thought to make the target a ruddy robot. The new MP mode Safeguard is a round-based mode, where you will either be acting as the Attackers and protecting your robot friend across the map or the Defenders who are tasked with destroying the mechanical marvel.

Another call back to an older generation, straight from the library of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, you can now get your hands on the Striker 45. A quite deceptive piece of kit, this submachine gun has a surprising bit of range to it, outclassing all others in its class in terms of engagement distance.

The latest Operate Skill is perfect in terms of setting up some surprise strikes. The Tac-Deploy ability will allow the user’s teammates to respawn at the location where the Tac is deployed. So if the fighting is fierce and you accept losses, pop out this handy ability and help your friends back into the battle quicker.

Call of Duty Mobile can be downloaded now from the App Store and Google Play.
