Unless you've been living in a cave for the past week, you've likely heard of - or even played - Slither.io, the mobile multiplayer sensation that combines the seriously addictive gameplay of Agar.io with Snake. That's a dangerous assortment right there.

Too much of a good thing is usually, well, not good though. So you'll likely want to find a new game to get obsessed with before long - and that's where 148Apps comes in. We've scoured the App Store and Google Play to bring you this list of the best games like Slither.io you can play right now.

Just don't say we didn't warn you when you inevitably check into gaming rehab.

Naturally, we're going to start with Agar.io - the game that started it all. This mobile multiplayer battler took mobile by storm when it launched last year - and for good reason.

You play as a ball and have to swallow smaller balls to grow in size and, eventually, dominate the arena. If you're looking for a similar experience to Slither.io but without the, erm, snakiness, this is the first place you should go.

Previous to Slither.io, there was an obsession with balls in this genre - and Nebulous is no different.

It does set itself apart with its space theme, variety of game modes, and XP / stats systems though, so if you'd like a game with a bit more meat on its bones, Nebulous is the one for you.

Dot Much Fight Club definitely has the best name of the bunch but aside from that is a very similar experience to Agar.io.

There's a night and day theme and a bunch of skins to unlock though - and those skins can be real game changers. Worth a look if you're hunting for something a little different.

Oh look, a game with a clever name! That's not all this has going for it though. There are eight different game modes, a private room mode so you can play with just friends, and an equipment system which mixes things up.

Sometimes it's all about finding the version that works best for you, and Mitos.is might just have the features you're looking for.

If you're into your memes then Meme: Eat 'Em All! might just be the one for you, as you get to play as - and eat! - your favourites.

You're also called a derp instead of a ball. That probably means something to somebody.

Our final entry in this list is in full 3D, and lets you devour actual 3D stars. That's pretty cool.

Oh, you need more? Well, how about 30 stars flying around trying to swallow each other in an awesome space-themed environment, and with leaderboards tracking the best players?

Yes, you really should just download it and see for yourself.
