Aotu World is hosting a crossover event that stars Hatsune Miku and other virtual singers

Aotu World, the recently released RPG from GaeaMobile, is already hosting its first crossover event. It will feature several famous virtual singers, including Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Len, Megurine Luka, Kaito and Meiko. The event starts today and will run until August 10th.
Whilst the event is underway, the odds of getting one of these characters will be increased in rate-up banners. However, they won't all appear on the same banner. Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Len will feature in a banner called Voice of MIKU until August 3rd, whilst Megurine Luka, Kaito and Meiko can be obtained from the Stage Night banner between July 27th and August 10th.

To celebrate their arrival, players will find two new game modes called Music Festival and Assistance: MIKU's Battle. The former sees players tackling a series of rhythm action stages that feature 10 officially licensed songs, including the likes of Jump for Joy and One more time. Meanwhile, in Assistance: MIKU's Battle, they can enjoy stories, chat with NPCs and participate in a series of battles. You can check out some gameplay from the collaboration event in the video below.
If you're unfamiliar with Aotu World, it is a fast-paced strategy RPG that is based on the anime of the same name. The battle system sees players moving and attacking across a five-coloured block-based board. As you would expect from this type of game, there are several characters to collect, each with distinct fighting styles.
Hatsune Miku, meanwhile, is a virtual singer who has become increasingly popular across the world. Folks regularly buy the character's merchandise alongside attending live performances.
Aotu World is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
