Do you like Asian inspired video games? Do high pitched "excited sounds" and happy colors make you warm and fuzzy inside? If so, you've come to the right place.
In the spirit of Katamari, Miro is a little ball that is on a mission to outline every big figure it comes across. Why? Well... um... because that's what a Miro does. Using your accelerometer, you must navigate your little Miro around increasingly complex figures without falling off the object.
Winning in Miro is a relative thing, as the only requisites for beating a level is A, to survive, and B, to color the minimum percentage shown for the level. There is no time limit (although the global high scores are determined by speed), only one button to worry about (a short term speed boost), and no enemies to worry about, just you and your blob-like paint creature.
You may be wondering what the point is, but why does everything need to have a point? Just sit back and enjoy the nice artwork and Asian/Indian inspired jingles that the game tosses your way, and be sure to get a little giddy when your little Miro screams with delight. If you're feeling really ambitious, go break a high score or two on the global leader boards, but that is certainly not the main ambition of the game. The point is just to sit back, relax, and enjoy the game a little.
Note though that not everyone will be entranced by the little Miro though. The on-screen action does get a bit repetitive, and there is definitely some room for some bonus features. Something like a long jump, or even a targeted jump mode would add a bit to the game, or even just a fun addition to a few levels. As is, though, the game is quite fun and is well worth the asking price.
