Revolved Review

Revolved is a fun app where users can draw lines on a screen that revolve around the axis and transform into impressive and beautiful 3D models. These models can then be saved and shared with friends. Thanks to its simplistic interface, it doesn’t take iOS users long to bring their imaginations to life.

To get started, tap the plus button on the main screen. The drawing screen is split into two sections: the right side is where users draw and the left side instantly shows the 3D model as users draw lines on the screen. The 3D models consist of segments that are revolved around the axis. Users can tap on a straight segment after they draw it to change its shape and color.

Revolved lets users create many impressive 3D renderings that are saved to the home screen. These models can be shared with friends and family through Twitter and Facebook, and it’s also possible to snap pictures of them to send via e-mail. Drawings that are saved to the home screen can be deleted at any time by tapping on the three dots located on the bottom half of the main screen.

Revolved’s minimalistic interface makes it mesh well with iOS7. Additionally, its design may appeal more toward kids than adults since there aren't a whole lot of advanced features. It’s just a fun way to create, but it’s not meant to be as feature-rich as something like AutoCad.

While Revolved could use more features like additional colors and an option to alter the background color along with a left-hand mode, these certainly aren’t deal breakers. Revolved offers users plenty of entertainment for less than one dollar. It’s fun to draw different segments to create interesting models, and it also doubles as a fun learning tool for children. Anyone looking to spark their creativity should give it a try to see the app’s magic come to life.
