CCGs, or collectible trading card games, have pretty much taken over mobile games at this point. Everyone's jumping on the bandwagon, and who could blame them? CCGs are fun for players and hugely profitable for developers and publishers. There's a wide array of CCGs devoted to beloved pop culture franchises, so of course a  Plants vs. Zombies  iteration was bound to pop up. Plants vs. Zombies Heroes  isn't just another marketing ploy, though. Underneath the fun  PvZ  illustrations you're used to is a heavy duty card game that actually requires quite a bit of strategy to master.

But maybe you've already mastered it, and are looking for the next challenge. Look no further--we've drawn up a list of four other excellent CCGs to kill your time.

You can now relive your playground Pokémon trading card wars on mobile, now that the TCG  has gone mobile. It's the same routine as the physical card game except now there are fun animations. Build up a deck that suits your fancy and duke it out against the computer or online opponents. You can easily trade cards with other players if you're on the lookout for the perfect match for your team.

Card City Nights  plunks you down in the middle of a cartoon-y town where your goal is to collect the 8 legendary cards in order to make it into the championship. Combat works a little differently in this game, but it's a refreshing change. Players aim to line up combos by aligning arrows on the sides and corners of the cards. This'll get you a match of three symbols, each of which represents a different action be it "attack" or "defense" It's light-hearted fun, and a great option if you're overwhelmed by the twisty turny rules of other entries on this list.

Yes, I know.  Dream Quest  looks like it was drawn by a child, but hear me out. It's actually one of the most innovative CCGs at your fingertips. Combining dungeon-crawlers and deck building,  Dream Quest  players select from a number of different classes while building up a deck full of spells, abilities, and armor to aid them on their quest through the dastardly dungeon.

There's a lot of creativity in the trading card scene right now, and these are just a few examples. Pick one that works for you and start collecting.
