| Glyph Quest

Earlier this year, Glyph Quest was released and proved to be a quite enjoyable if rough around the edges Match-3/RPG crossover. Taking heed of such lessons learned through the earlier release comes Super Glyph Quest, an appropriately souped-up version of the game.

It works well, too. More quests are included, as well as more spells and glyphs, ensuring that Super Glyph Quest is a much more well-rounded game and one that warrants that premium price tag. For $2.99 you get plenty of content that’s sure to last for a while. Think Puzzle Quest and you wouldn’t be too far off. You can combine glyphs for regular spell casting, as well as create combos and reversals, each offering their own advantages.

It’s a satisfying way of doing things and leveling up comes steadily, ensuring you always feel like you’re getting somewhere. A perks system and other bonuses further add to the experience, as well as giving a sense of personalization to your progression.

Super Glyph Quest isn’t an easy game, much like its predecessor, but it offers a reasonable learning curve. The key is to combine glyphs well to rack up those combos and reap the benefits. Graphically it’s still nothing overly special, but it does offer a certain charm that works for it. Much the same as its relatively simple storyline, it’s a gateway to making you feel more interested than if you were merely matching up glyphs.

It’s also the kind of game that you can easily achieve something in a short space of time, whether that be completing one quest or crafting a few items. Either way, you’ll find those short sessions lasting an increasing length of time as Super Glyph Quest really does offer that ‘just one more go’ factor.
