Genshin Impact Version 5.6 will launch early next month with main story and management side quest

HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact Version 5.6, titled Paralogism, will launch on May 7th. It will feature a new Archon Quest Interlude chapter, a visit to a new amusement park in Fontaine, and two characters to recruit, including one with a pet saurian. Not saying he is the obvious best choice, but I am also not, not saying that.

In this latest Archon Interlude, the Traveller and their pals are headed over to Mondstadt to enjoy the Windblume Festival, but a twist in the tale will see Albedo hunted by many characters. You will team up with old friends such as Venti and the Knights of Favonius, new pals like Dahlia, and Lady Alice of the Hexenzirkel.

As monsters begin to invade the city, you must undergo a magical trial to earn Lady Alice’s support in the defence. Because apparently a horde of monsters isn’t convincing enough. There will be a Weekly Boss Challenge that takes place on a mystical chessboard, pitting you against the powerful King and Queen.

If defending yet another settlement from another enemy is growing old, then pop over to Fontaine for a management minigame. The Chevalmarin Film Fantasyland needs help, and it's down to you and some friends from Fontaine and Natlan. You will manage three attractions: Eclectic Escapades, Movie Masterpieces, and Mellow Manor. Grow these and the park by upgrading facilities and recruiting employees. Do well enough and you will earn the exclusive 4-star Sequence of Solitude bow.

Pivoting back to battles, we have two new recruits. Escoffier is a 5-star Cryo polearm wielder who can summon the All-Spectrum Multi-Use Cooking Mek. This can be set to support or attack, and with Escoffier also being able to heal, this duo has a multitude of uses. Our second hero is Ifa, the 5-star Anemo catalyst user. He fights alongside his Qucusaurus companion, Cacucu, and also has the heal the active character when their health falls below a certain threshold, which is incredibly useful.

Genshin Impact is available to download from the App Store and Google Play. Whilst you are waiting for the update, you could check out Snowbreak: Containment Zone, which recently had two new characters of its own.
