E.V.A.L. is an infinite runner with a twist, and it’s just raced onto iOS devices
An experimental sprint

A new infinite runner has sprinted onto iOS devices and this one dares to be different. E.V.A.L is the world's first drawing-based action runner.
The game is set in a world where a rogue antagonist intelligence system called Existence vs. Annihilation Logic (E.V.A.L.) has been tasked with evaluating whether mankind is ready for the future. You’ll take part in these clinical tests on behalf of the entire species.
[youtube DYiN2P4B_L4 600] E.V.A.L’s trials involve guiding a bunch of cute robotic critters through obstacle-littered courses, charging their shape and colour to progress past each hazard. This is done by drawing shapes in one of three different segments of the screen, each representing one of the three different colours.
At its core, E.V.A.L is an infinite runner with puzzle elements thrown in, but developer Stoptoplay has gotten plenty of mileage out of this concept. Not only is there a story campaign featuring the A.I. menace, with cut scenes and voice acting to flesh out the narrative, an endless running mode will be unlocked when you complete it.
Additionally, Evaluation mode adds further longevity with 20 levels. Each level adds a new challenge, with new mechanics, or by limiting the controls a player can use.
E.V.A.L. is available to download for free through the App Store.
