Creature Quest definitely lives up to its name with a host of collectible creatures based on fantasy tales and world mythologies. To celebrate Creature Quest’s first birthday, we’re going to lay out what we think are the five best characters in the game. Let’s get to it.

5. Celestial Sentinel

The Celestial Sentinel is Creature Quest’s best healer, hands down. Not only can he resurrect and heal your party members, he’ll also restore your team members’ mana. If he dies, he can revive and heal the rest of your team, including himself. He’s the ideal safety net.

4. Goddess of the Sands

The Goddess of the Sands is a fearsome Sphinx that doles out an area-of-effect Silence debuff that can leave your opponents helpless. The Goddess deals a good bit of damage to boot. She also boasts a nifty counter attack—if someone is foolish enough to striker her, she’ll cast a random debuff on them.

3. Corrupted Angel

Corrupted Angel is perfect for powerful, targeted nukes. If Corrupted Angel strikes the killing blow in battle, he’ll do damage to every enemy and heal himself. And let’s not forget his exceptionally powerful Fatigue debuff, which reduces the potency of your enemies’ heals.

2. Ruthless Cerberus

Ruthless Cerberus terrorizes the battlefield with its three vicious heads. It also chips away at enemy teams with its strong arsenal of debuffs, which handily heal Cerberus in turn. If that’s not enough for you, Cerberus can also counterattack with one of its heads whenever it takes damage.

1. Wood Nymph

She might not look like much at first blush, but the tiny but mighty Wood Nymph packs quite a punch. She’s an excellent choice if you’re looking for a creature to defend your dungeon, stunning enemies left and right. If she gets knocked out, she’ll stun the entire opposing team, quickly swinging the battle to your favor. You can only get the Wood Nymph once a month from the Battle Tower challenge.
