It's the visual style that immediately makes Chaos Fighters seem quite endearing. Cool to look at with some distinctly vibrant imagery, those looking for a new MMO will find themselves easily drawn in this title's direction. However, looks are far from everything and Chaos Fighters is mostly just an exercise in busywork.

The game starts out reasonably promising, allowing one to choose from a few different classes in order to develop talents. A quest box to the side keeps players on a steady path of progression with experience and new items quite easily gained. Such quests are linked in a way that means one learns things about the game's mechanics, as well as progresses. Don't expect a huge amount of action though as Chaos Fighters offers solely automatic combat. There's no way of directly interacting with the fighting system, leaving players to simply watch as a battle unfolds. It's actually possible to skip watching the battles entirely, further reducing the connection that one feels to their character.

It remains colorful and busy stuff. There's always something to do even despite an energy system keen to slow one's progress down. It's not particularly engaging though. Instead, it's all just a matter of moving from one quest to another without any sense of a plot developing or any sense of attachment to one's character. Being able to socialize with other players, participate in PvP, and join guilds go some way to adding a more human touch to proceedings, but it's rarely enough.

Progression might frequently be offered within Chaos Fighters, but it's strange how it fails to really entice or draw one in. It all just feels like a distraction rather than anything truly memorable.

Chaos Fighters

There's plenty to do, but it's oddly not particularly gripping in this colorful but uninspired MMO.
