Two Frogs announces the first major update for Back 2 Back landing June 2025

Since time immemorial, games have tested the bonds between humans. Board games have Monopoly, cards have Uno, video games have Mario Party, and since last year, mobile's had Back 2 Back. It has been pretty well received since its launch, and in June 2025, it will receive its first major update.

If you haven’t played Back 2 Back, it is a title that must be played with a cooperative partner. You are the two operators of a car on the run from swarming robots, with one person driving and the other manning a turret, both with a separate colour. The issue is that enemies can only be killed by a specific colour, so you need to switch a lot.

When The Big Update 2.0 launches in June, arguably the biggest addition will be the new car. Or rather cars. As well as an expanded garage, each vehicle will have three levels to grind to add progression, with passive powers being added for each step. These include the likes of an extra life or lava resistance. 

Taking a leaf out of Pokemon Pocket's book, you will also be able to collect booster packs. They don’t contain Lucario ex though, so they fail. Instead, you will build up a collection of stickers you can use on your car. Not as helpful as a being that can Aura Sphere the robots to pieces, but sure.

Finally, we can say hello to an all-new location to escape the robotic uprising in. This map is bathed in the summer season, specifically the environment of Nates, France. There is also the teaser that Back 2 Back might also be getting seasonal content in the near future.
