Quest - Web Browser Review

Quest - Web Browser is a browser that takes it all back to the bare minimum requirements. There's no history feature, no favorites, and no tabbed interface - nothing more complex than a full screen of content that you've just searched for. It won't be appropriate for all situations, but as a surprisingly fast way of looking stuff up, it's great.

There's no set up involved. Load up the app and there's a search bar. Start typing in it and Quest - Web Browser will try to auto-complete what you're writing, or you can just go straight to google to browse the results. Auto-complete covers many of the most commonly used websites so often you won't have to type a lot.

Once you look something up, the app switches to a full screen interface to display the site. It's a much more pleasant (as well as speedier) affair than most other web browsers I've used. A swipe upwards soon takes you back to the search/URL bar and so everything continues to flow nicely. The only significant extra feature here is that Quest - Web Browser picks up when you've copied something, making it easy enough to paste into the link bar. Other than that, Quest - Web Browser keeps it very simple.

That means if you're trying to research something or want to save plenty of links, Quest - Web Browser won't be of much use. There's a simple way to share links by pulling up but that's about it. If you simply want to browse a few sites though, this is the ideal app for you. It's faster than most and much clearer to browse through, making it an ideal situational tool for the avid site browser.
