First Impressions of Resident Evil 4 on iOS
Resident Evil 4 comes to iOS today, and we've taken video of the entire free portion that is available to let you see it in action and get a sense of how this new version fares. The short version is, this game feels an awful lot like the port job of Resident Evil Village, albeit with a modern classic, as opposed to a game that feels like a dated also-ran.
Read on below if you want more detailed perspective on Resident Evil 4 on iOS. Otherwise, you can look through the video to see it in action along with some light captions reflecting on the play session.

First Impressions of Resident Evil Village on iOS
Apple talked a big game about bringing bigger (ahem) games to mobile at last year's WWDC, and the first title they touted as part of this effort is finally out. Capcom's Resident Evil Village is out now on the App Store and is a complete mobile port of the original game.
I've gotten my hands on it and put a decent amount of time into the spooky survival-horror game, getting just a bit past the title's "free-to-start" section and I recorded most of that experience in the video above. Because of Capcom's rules about sharing gameplay, the video also has editorial captions about what I think of the game, but I'll also outline some more thoughts below.

Alone in the Dark Creeps onto the App Store - for Real this Time
Remember last week when we mentioned that Alone in the Dark was coming to the App Store? And remember how it didn't? Well it turns out all it needed was a little time.
The classic Survival Horror game that predates the term "Survival Horror" (seriously, it's over 20 years old) is now available on the App Store, for real this time. No, really, it's totally up there. This isn't some bizarre demonic trick or anything, honest.
You can download this little piece of gaming history right now for $0.99.
Alone in the Dark Set to Spook the App Store Tonight
Prepare yourself, AppSpy reports that something Lovecraftian is set to sneak its way onto the App Store tonight. The original 1992 version of Alone in the Dark, widely seen as the game that inspired the survival horror genre, is set to launch tonight - allowing players to take on the role of Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood once more.
For those unfamiliar with the game, your role is to explore the mansion of Jeremy Hartwood, now deceased. Along the way you'll need to outwit or overpower supernatural enemies and solve puzzles in order to discover the truth behind Jeremy Hartwood's death.
Survival horror fans should prepare for the witching hour, when the clocks strikes twelve, as that is when Alone in the Dark is set to arrive tonight for $0.99.

Forgotten Memories - Alternate Realities Gets a Preview Version of its Third-Person Survival Gameplay
Forgotten Memories - Alternate Realities is a third-person survival horror game that has players adventuring through dark environments with only a flashlight in hand. The gameplay is based on a fear mechanic consisting of tough fights, few weapons, a weak character, and a scary and dangerous world to explore.
Forgotten Memories will soon release a preview of the game for players to try for free, giving them close to an hour of gameplay. This is being done to help support the Kickstarter campaign once it launches.
