_PRISM is a short but sweet puzzle game that embraces touch screen controls and feels suitably tactile throughout. It rewards experimentation and you'll thoroughly enjoy exploring this galaxy.

So, what’s it about?

There isn’t a story exactly. It’s all about pursuing a path through a microcosmic galaxy, which sounds a little pretentious. You'll spend most of your time exploring some interesting scenery, basically.

You have to work out how to unfold a series of shapes and patternsin each level to reach the next section. That might not sound gripping but it totally is.

Each piece has a series of lines with colored circles on their edges, and you have to drag them over to the corresponding sections and line up the circles. It starts simple but soon gets pretty intricate.

It’s really tactile too. You drag your finger around to move the camera or manipulate a piece, without ever once having to worry about silly virtual controls. It’s intuitive stuff.

It sounds boring

It’s not. It’s definitely got a more relaxed pace than most games, but that’s a good thing. It’s got a great soothing feel to it. It’s the kind of game you’ll particularly enjoy dipping into after a long day of work.

What’s the catch?

It’s not that long. It’ll only take you an hour or so, but it’s a really enjoyable hour. It's consistently calming, and really satisfying to move around the level to see what can be manipulated.

The bottom line

Those after a fast-paced experience should steer clear of _PRISM. It’s really not that kind of game.

However, it really is quite pleasant and will clear your mind of a few worries. It's devoid of tutorials and anything too garish so you can simply sink into its world, deduce things as you go along, and feel pretty smug with yourself when you complete it.
