Developer Crazy Oyster Games' Whack-A-Tile is a simple, refreshing spin on the age-old game of whack-a-mole. It aims to offer a reflex-testing good time, and it's out right now for iOS, with an Android version set to follow on May 13th.

If you've ever played whack-a-mole, then it won't take long for you to get the hang of Whack-A-Tile. You'll be told to hit a specific type of tile as fast as you can. Succeeding will net you points, while failing to do so will chop your remaining time in half.

Collecting a certain number of points will give you some extra time, so it's really an intense battle against the clock. The longer you stay playing, the higher your score will grow. And before you know it, you'll have earned yourself an impressive ranking on the leaderboards.

At launch, there four different modes to get stuck into: Shuffle, Whack, Static, and Memo. These range from tricky memory games to tests of speed. If things prove too challenging, you can always mess around with the different difficulty options. There's Easy, Normal, Kids, and Compete. The latter mode, as its name suggests, is the one that sees you attempting to climb the leaderboards.

Whack-A-Tile is now available for download as a free-to-play title from over on the App Store. And remember that it'll arrive for Android on Google Play next Wednesday, May 13th.
