MU Archangel: Beginner’s guide to character classes

Posted by Alina Gasca on April 29th, 2021

Upcoming MMORPG MU Archangel is Webzen’s latest spin-off from the hit MU Online franchise, which expands on the legacy of the Archangel weapons (one of the rarest and most powerful weapons in the MU continent).

With its launch in Southeast Asia just around the corner, we’ve decided to revisit the MU continent to help players initiate into the sprawling MMORPG universe that awaits them.

First and foremost, the very first important choice you’ll make in the game is choosing a character class.

EZ Estate lets you leave instructions for your loved ones, should the worst happen

If you died tomorrow, would your loved ones know where to find the documents they need to handle all your affairs?

Understandably, most of us would rather leave the uncomfortable reality of such questions for another day. But the simple truth is, as Echo & the Bunnymen once sang, ‘nothing lasts forever’ – this year, in particular, has been a grim reminder of just how fragile life can be.
Developed by Young Jack LLC, EZ Estate seeks to take the stress out of planning for the dreaded ‘d’ word, however remote the prospect. It’s an all-in-one estate management app, collecting your important documents and instructions in one convenient place for your survivors’ benefit.

You might have already penned a will, but your life is bigger than the possessions you’ll leave behind and to whom; many of the details of your day-to-day affairs will be digitally, physically or mentally filed away, meaning your loved ones may have to contend with a confusing tangle of accounts, passwords and bills after you’re gone – and while they’re grieving. Plus, you may have other wishes you want to communicate; for example, does your family know who you’d like to be notified in the event of your death? What about who should (and shouldn’t) attend your funeral? And what sort of funeral would you like?

EZ Estate lets you easily store and pass on all the details you want to. It aims to be more comprehensive than any other ‘last request’ app on the market, and provides a range of subcategories for added clarity; categories include ‘important contacts’, ‘pets’, ‘gifts and personal property’, ‘personal documents’, ‘my financials’, ‘my funeral’ and ‘miscellaneous’. There’s a simple, clear audio guide to aid you with setting everything up, and a status update to ensure you don’t accidentally omit anything important. You can include helpful details about financial obligations such as bills, monthly outgoings and outstanding debts. For ease of use, or simply to add a personal touch, you can even upload video recordings to the app, directly communicating details you wish to pass on.

Some of those details, such as passwords and contacts – and perhaps where you’ve buried your treasure – may be sensitive and for-certain-eyes-only. That’s why EZ Estate makes sure all data is locally encrypted and password-protected on your device. It’s also stored in its encrypted form on the EZ Estate cloud servers, so you won’t lose everything should your mobile device go on the fritz, or walk-about.

As information stored with EZ Estate isn’t legally binding by itself, the app works best as part of a comprehensive plan arranged through a legal advisor. And there really is no time like the present to plan ahead. You can download EZ Estate for free from Google Play and the App Store today.

Hidden Survivor from Joy Brick is a hide-and-seek survival game for Android and iOS

Joy Brick's Hidden Survivor is an interesting title of two halves: part story-focused survival experience, part intense hide-and-seek multiplayer game. Both elements come together to form a compellingly strange and enjoyable whole.

The hide-and-seek arena battles task you with scouring your surroundings for useful items. Knowing when to use these items is key to remaining successful and earning as many points as possible.

The twist is that you can disguise yourself as any object in the level, hopefully allowing you to go unnoticed when one of your rivals becomes the player-hunting 'Seeker'. As the match progresses, certain areas of the level will grow dangerous to linger in, causing you damage over time.

Fold the World is an innovative puzzle game which introduces completely new mechanics [Sponsored]

Posted by 148Apps Staff on October 30th, 2015

Fold the World is an innovative new puzzle game that just launched on iOS in which you have to travel across the three different worlds of the Paper Kingdom and complete 60 handcrafted puzzles to defeat the Lord of Darkness.

The puzzles are like an interactive pop-up book in which you have to fold paper to help the hero Yolo navigate to the end of each level, collecting items along the way.

There are some interesting mechanics thrown in that have never been seen before like magic ink which lights your path, bookmarks and sticky notes to help you keep track, and full Origami designs to create.

We reached out to Uri Golan, Developer Relations Manager at TabTale and Taliuk Oleg, Founder at Eon Games to discuss the challenges faced during development, what they're most proud of, and the plans for future updates.

Build a Prosperous Empire from the ground Up in Simulation Rise of Rome

Posted by Simon Reed on August 7th, 2014

If you’re looking for an historic simulation game that allows you to become the leader of one of three factions (Julius Caesar, Scipio Africanus, Marcus Junius Brutus), you may enjoy Rise of Rome, which is now available on the App Store and Google Play.

Rise of Rome is all about expansion. Your aim is to build a prosperous empire, and subsequently defend it from rival factions and empires. As you defeat opponents and progress through the game, you’ll earn resources, which are useful for developing both your army and your city.

There are multiple ways to customise your armed forces. There are over 72 different classes of soldier (such as elephants and stone throwers) to choose from, for example, as well as eight different battle formations on offer.

There’s also a ‘corps system’ that allows you to form alliances with other lords from the same faction. You can even share information with them.

RNTS Media plans to add more content to Rise of Rome. The first update to the game will likely be released in October, and introduce a new coliseum in which you’ll be able to earn high-ranking items.

Interested? If so, grab Rise of Rome from the App Store or Google Play. It’s free, after all.

Sure, we’ve had some augmented reality and social gaming apps come out in the past year, but none have put anything solid in my hands. On March 1, DreamWalk will become the first app of its kind, using the iPhone as a treasure map of sorts to put you on a quest to win real world prizes. Sometimes when I wake up I feel like a pirate, but never have I come so close!
