Description

MailWasher Mobile helps stop spam and other unwanted email. MailWasher enables you to preview all your email and delete it before it reaches your email program. Comprehensive anti spam filters are used, along with white lists and blacklists.

MailWasher previews your email at the server, so you can view, mark for delete, add to blacklist or friends list. Then press the 'Wash' button to remove the unwanted emails.

MailWasher works fast and is quick and easy to use.

Common swiping actions are used:
- Pull down to refresh/check for new messages
- Swipe an email across to add to or remove from friends list/blacklist
- Click on an email to preview it fully.

MailWasher previews your email in plain text for security.

POP3 and IMAP email accounts are supported.

The Account Setup Wizard helps with the setup, or you can download the Desktop version of MailWasher Pro and sync your accounts and blacklist/friendslist entries. Get the desktop version here: http://cdn.firetrust.com/downloads/mailwasher_pro/7/mailwasher_pro_setup_7_4_1_21112014.exe

What’s New

Version 2.0.0.4

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.

Everything is new - this is a complete rewrite, so there's a new user interface for starters. Now includes IMAP email account support and you can add all your email accounts.
NOTE: Your old username/password login for version 1.4 will no longer work, you will need to create a new 'Firetrust login' using an email address and password, and then re-add your email accounts.

Needs to handle sub folders

Mailwasher’s desktop version does a great job of filtering out spam and is definitely worth the money. The app doesn’t measure up in that it doesn’t import the settings/filters from the desktop and doesn’t handle sub folders (I have Hotmail send mail by default from unknown senders to a junk folder, which Mailwasher desktop does its best work). Sorry, this app doesn’t even try to replace the pc program and isn’t worth downloading.

Pretty Darn Good App

I've been using this app for about 7 months now, on my iPhone, iPad & desktop PC, and am quite pleased with it. Sure, it's got a few bugs, but after using several different solutions for the past years this is hands-down the best I've found so far.

The best part about this app is that it stops spam at the server, before it even gets to your devices. You preview your messages in the app, tag the spam, blacklist entire domains, and when you're ready you open your mail program to download the remaing good messages.

With a couple of business e-mail accounts advertised on the web I get upwards of 500 messages per day; of which about 40-50 are valid. To prevent me from having to swipe tag messages all day long, I leave my desktop on at the office with this app running and filtering messages, so the last check and filer always has occurred during the past 15 minutes.

Works best when you configure filters under settings for auto-delete blacklisted domains, and certain high-volume spam terms: such as "Dr. Oz." "Diet"etc.

Bugs:
- Phone/iPad app doesn't refreash showing all the pending messages; you have to refresh-wash-refresh-wash several times.

Works for Me

I cannot say enough about this App. I had an email account that would receive from at least 120 to 150 spam messages a day. I stopped checking it because the spam emails were so overwhelming. In just a few months I had over 8,000 unread messages in that account. In finally cleaning it out, I saw in the last two months, I was being sent two emails in a row from the same spam sender. Researched over the last year, and finally found and downloaded the Mail Washer on my phone. In just two weeks, I am receiving about 30 emails per day, and I am able to "wash" those before they go to my server. I pray nothing changes and some update doesn't make this inoperable, because it's been a game-changer for me.
