Authentic Lovecraft feel

Overall a good game, with an authentic H P Lovecraft feel, very true to the spirit of the ‘At the Mountains of Madness’ novella. Artwork is very nice, as are the background sounds and music. However, feels a bit less polished than their ‘Dark Mysteries: Soul Keeper’ game (based on ‘The Case of Charles Dexter Ward’). For example, the items on hidden object lists are revealed a few at a time rather than all at once. Minor glitch with the display (on my MacBook Pro 15”) being skewed off to one side too, requiring toggling in and out of fullscreen mode to fix, without which the top right part of the game window is hidden. The game didn’t seem to take nearly as long as ‘Soul Keeper’ either, in part because some of the puzzles could be solved quickly with random clicking (quote from my wife: “I don’t understand how this works… oh, I’ve done it”). In short, probably not the best hidden object/logic puzzle game out there, but Lovecraft fans will really enjoy the atmospherics and storytelling.

Loved it!

I would have given it five stars if the narratives were audio! We had lots of fun playing. It was short, but I like games I can finish over the weekend.

Fun!

Very fun, and quick game. I wish It would have gone on for a little longer. I love the H. P. Lovecraft story line. More games like this based on other Lovecraft tales would be a great addition!
